Gala Participation Guidelines
Eligibility
Only registered swimmers can participate in galas.
Your account must be in good standing (no overdue invoices).
At least one parent must be registered as a timekeeper.

Please note: CTA, WCA, and Swim South Africa may update the calendar on short notice.
Cybersmart Aquatics coaches decide which meets the club will attend and will manage all swimmer entries.
Before each gala, a dedicated WhatsApp group will be created for all eligible parents and swimmers. All relevant information, entries, and timekeeping details will be shared in this group.
Gala Participation
If your child will not participate in a particular gala, please send a message in the Telegram group:
“Please scratch my daughter, Suzy,” and exit the group.
This must be done before invoicing to avoid being charged.
Once invoiced, you are liable for the gala fee, even if your child later withdraws.
Payment
Please check the due date on your gala invoice.
Non-payment or late payment will result in your child being excluded from the gala.
Club Gear
According to CTA and WCA rules, only club gear may be worn at galas.
Wearing a Cybersmart swim cap is compulsory for both warm-ups and races.
