Get ready for the Winelands Winter Gala 2026, the opening event of the Cape Winelands Senior League season! Taking place on 6 June 2026 at the outstanding Generations Somerset West Aquatics Centre, this fast-paced gala brings together some of the strongest swimmers and clubs in the Western Cape.

Open to SSA registered Level 2 and above swimmers, the Winter Gala offers athletes an ideal opportunity to race early in the season, post qualifying times, and build momentum heading into the major championship meets later in the year.

The gala will be swum in a 10-lane short course pool, featuring timed finals and slow-to-fast seeding in line with Swimming South Africa and World Aquatics rules. From explosive 50m sprints to demanding middle-distance and IM events, swimmers can expect a professionally run competition environment with strong racing across all age groups.

Whether you’re preparing for Nationals, sharpening race skills, or simply looking for high-quality competition during the winter season, the Winelands Winter Gala promises exciting racing, excellent atmosphere, and top-level organisation.

• Scratchings Deadline: 5 June 2026 at 10h00am
• Late Scratchings: R100 fine per event/per swimmer on the day
• Meet Programme & Results: Available on Meet Mobile
• Officials: Clubs are required to supply officials and timekeepers for the gala

The gala will be run according to SSA & World Aquatics rules.
